Paper Plate Printmaking

Jan 30, 2017

I feel sure you have these items laying around your house. So grab a plate, pencil, and some washable markers and you are set!

Supplies:
foam paper plate
pencil
washable markers ( must be washable)
small spray bottle of water

1. Cut your plate in whatever shape you'd like. A heart, a square, a rectangle, anything!

2. Use your pencil to carve in the design. Press hard enough to make an indention but not so hard that it goes through the plate.

3. Color the plate with the washable markers. Be careful that you don't lay your hands on the plate. The marker is just laying on top of the plate and will transfer to your hands if you lay your hands on top. So be careful!

4. Lightly spray with water.

5. Press card stock on top. Rub with the palms of your hand to make sure the marker transfers.

And that's it!!!

You can repeat with different colors and do this as many times as you'd like! To clean the paper plate just wipe down with a paper towel!!
